Invisalign® uses an advanced 3-D digital scanning system to create precise images of your teeth. Using these images, Dr. Dailey creates a personalized treatment plan that progressively shifts teeth from their current position to optimum alignment. This state-of-the-art digital technology enables you to preview your new smile, see exactly how your teeth will move and provides an estimate of how long treatment will take.

The Invisalign® lab fabricates multiple sets of custom-made clear aligners that fit snugly over your teeth. You’ll wear your aligners 22 hours per day, then move on to the next set of aligners every two weeks until treatment is completed. When you pick up your first custom aligners, Dr. Dailey will have you try them in to ensure they fit properly. Small, tooth-colored Invisalign attachments are bonded to specific areas of the teeth. The aligners snap onto them to help teeth move into proper alignment. You’ll come back to our office every few weeks to check your progress and pick up your next batch of aligners.

Each custom-made clear aligner applies carefully controlled force to move your teeth until the desired outcome is achieved. The length of treatment time varies, depending on your specific dental issues and the complexity of your case. They can be taken out for brushing and flossing, eating, taking photographs, or for special social events. Invisalign® for Teens features blue compliance indicator dots that let us know if your teen’s aligners are being worn as prescribed. They also include eruption tabs to hold space open for molars that have not yet fully come in.

Invisalign® clear aligners easily fit into your life and allow you to see your progress and enjoy your smile as it transforms. Taking care of your aligners is super easy as well – simply clean them daily using cool or cold water and a small amount of non-abrasive toothpaste. If you remove your aligners throughout the day to eat or brush your teeth, always rinse them to wash away bacteria and store them in their case.
